Have you noticed the red donation bin in the parking lot? Hearts for the Homeless will be collecting and maintaining this bin. This additional donation opportunity provides us space to collect ONLY items needed for Family Promise and Friends of Night People in the white wooden bin in the coat room. Please see the specific wish list on the bin and put ONLY those items in. All other donations may be put in the red Hearts for Homeless bin. Your contributions are welcomed!

The Daily Bread Food Truck's engine caught fire last month. The truck feeds hungry families in Amherst. The community is coming together to help the owners of a local food truck, which caught fire. This one is a bit different than the ones you normally see over at Larkin Square because it's dedicated to feeding low-income families. "I miss our little old truck, but I know there's bigger and better things coming," said Steve Biegner. Click here to see the entire story from WGRZ TV.

We are invite people of all ages, both children and adults to be part of Sunday school. We all can learn from one another, so YOU are invited to discover and learn more about some of the key stories of our faith. Sunday school will meet every other Sunday (next is November 25th) throughout the year. Families are welcome to stay for worship afterwards at 10:15. We'll be utilizing the Holy Moly! curriculum again this year. In the Fall we will focus on stories from the Hebrew Scriptures or Old Testament, beginning with the story of Deborah, a wise judge who, with God's help, aided her people to victory!

This year we are excited to join forces in Bible study with a similar study that has taken place at St. Paul’s. We will be studying core stories from the Bible, digging deeply into the most important 40+ scripture passages. This is a new and a renewed time…continuing to study and grow in faith with people we know well and others we don’t know as well. If you’ve ever wanted to begin Bible study but weren’t sure if it is for you, come and give it a try. We would love to welcome you! Coffee and Timbits will nourish our bodies, as community and faith development nourish our hearts and minds.
This year, St. Paul's will be hosting a Thanksgiving Dinner on Wednesday, November 21st in the Parish Hall. This dinner is designed for all of the Tiger's Den Families and St. Paul's community that don't have a Thanksgiving dinner to attend on Thursday. Everyone is of course invited to prepare a side dish for this event. Call 839-1314 for reservations.
Click here to learn more about this program that is making a real impact in the 14226 zip code. THANK YOU for helping to supply the Tiger’s Den Food Pantry. For the month of November we are asking for spaghetti sauce, tomato paste, and rice. You may continue to place your food donations in the food barrel.
Starting November 24 you are invited to take an angel off of our Angel Tree and bring in a gift card from Target for the Mobil Family (our refugees from South Sudan) or you may choose an ELCA Good Gifts ornament with a wide range of prices. Please bring in the gift cards for the Mobil Family by December 16 so they can be delivered in a timely fashion. They can be placed in the offering plate. Don’t miss the opportunity to care for others this Christmas.
Following worship on November 25 we will prepare the sanctuary for the season of Advent. All hands are welcome. It probably won’t take more than an hour if many people volunteer.
