Have you noticed the red donation bin in the parking lot?  Hearts for the Homeless will be collecting and maintaining this bin.  This additional donation opportunity provides us space to collect ONLY items needed for Family Promise and Friends of Night People in the white wooden bin in the coat room.  Please see the specific wish list on the bin and put ONLY those items in.   All other donations may be put in the red Hearts for Homeless bin. Your contributions are welcomed!

Both St. Paul's Eggertsville and Crossroads Lutheran Churches have agreed to enter into a partnership that will help them Do More Together through a shared staff and vision for impacting the Amherst community as we: “Together….shine God’s grace and good news into the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of Amherst families.”

Who says only kids can do a Christmas pageant? During worship on the 22nd and 23rd we will have an impromptu Christmas pageant! As you walk in, we hope you'll volunteer for a small part which will be provided and highlighted to read as together we retell the story of Jesus birth in word and song. Let's tell the story of God-with-us together!

"Caring for others near and far,
because Christ cares for us."

Bring your family and friends to worship this week

This year we are excited to join forces in Bible study with a similar study that has taken place at St. Paul’s.  We will be studying core stories from the Bible, digging deeply into the most important 40+ scripture passages. This is a new and a renewed time…continuing to study and grow in faith with people we know well and others we don’t know as well.  If you’ve ever wanted to begin Bible study but weren’t sure if it is for you, come and give it a try.  We would love to welcome you! Coffee and Timbits will nourish our bodies, as community and faith development nourish our hearts and minds.

Do you have 20 to 30 minutes a day?  Would you like direction in knowing how to connect with God through the Scriptures using this amount of time?  Then the One Year Bible is just the thing.  Click here for details.

Hearts for the Homeless

Crossroads congregation is amazing!  Your contributions to Family Promise during the past year has been heartfelt and compassionate.  During 2018 Crossroads has contributed turkeys, Christmas money and gifts, supported the Volunteer Appreciation Picnic, donated paper goods and silverware and provided chocolate goodies for THREE chocolate baskets for the Annual Fundraiser, clothes and household supplies as well. THANK YOU.

A total of 18 families were served; 11 families totally moving out of homelessness.  Family Promise also supported 6 of these families with Security Deposit Assistance at $4,775.

Angel Tree

We are invite people of all ages, both children and adults to be part of Sunday school.  We all can learn from one another, so YOU are invited to discover and learn more about some of the key stories of our faith.  Sunday school will meet every other Sunday (next is December 16th)  throughout the year. Families are welcome to stay for worship afterwards at 10:15. We'll be utilizing the Holy Moly! curriculum again this year. In the Fall we will focus on stories from the Hebrew Scriptures or Old Testament, beginning with the story of Deborah, a wise judge who, with God's help, aided her people to victory!
